About Priority Grid

Priority Grid is Organize and prioritize tasks effectively using the Eisenhower Matrix method. Our mission is to help individuals and teams improve productivity and focus on what truly matters.

The Eisenhower Matrix

The Eisenhower Matrix, also known as the Urgent-Important Matrix, is a productivity and time management framework attributed to Dwight D. Eisenhower, the 34th President of the United States.

Eisenhower was known for his exceptional ability to sustain productivity over long periods, and this matrix was one of his key strategies. The concept was later popularized by Stephen Covey in his book "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People."

The matrix divides tasks into four quadrants based on two parameters: urgency and importance. This simple but powerful framework helps you prioritize tasks by forcing you to think about your priorities in a more structured way.

The Four Quadrants

  • Important & Urgent (Q1): Tasks that need immediate attention and have significant outcomes. These are crises, pressing problems, and deadline-driven projects.
  • Important & Not Urgent (Q2): Tasks that contribute to long-term goals and missions. These include relationship building, planning, and prevention activities.
  • Not Important & Urgent (Q3): Tasks that feel urgent but don't contribute significantly to your goals. These include interruptions, some meetings, and some phone calls.
  • Not Important & Not Urgent (Q4): Time-wasting activities that don't contribute to your goals. These include trivial tasks, some emails, and time-wasters.
